Alcohol hangover is frequently on minds of enjoying cocktail. The simple answer is that the only fool-proof method against alcohol hangover is not to drink.
Is It Leaky Gut or Leaky Gut Syndrome?
Hangover is poorly understood and some people believe that it is nature's way of punishment to prevent future drinking. Having said that there are ways that you can minimize the potential for hangover after drinking.
- Try taking a nap in the afternoon before going out in the evening.
- Don't drink empty stomach.
- Drink to the minimum. This especially applies to ladies who may want to compete with the guys. This is not issue of sexism. The biological fact remains that men tolerate more alcohol than women if they are of same height and weight.
- Do not mix different types of drinks
- Drink clear alcohols, rather than colored one, i.e. white wine rather than red wine. One study showed that for same amount of alcohol ingested 33% of bourbon drinkers had hangover compared to 3% of those who drank vodka. As such, red wine, brandy, tequila and rum are more likely to cause hangover than white wine, gin and vodka.
- Drink plenty of water during and after drinking. One way to tackle this is to drink a glass of water for every drink of alcohol.
- Before going to bed after drinking alcohol, drink some juice or electrolyte drink like Gatorade in order to replenish fluid and electrolytes.
Is It Leaky Gut or Leaky Gut Syndrome?
Have you ever had a hangover? Have you tried any of the above strategies? Does some other strategy work better for you? Please let me know. I would love to hear from you.
Cheers!!!!
